Absolutely! Although this course is called the Western Meat School, people living in other parts of the country or internationally are welcome to take it. The bulk of our speakers are from western United States and we emphasize the geography of that region in the lectures. Yet most of the content pertains to direct market meat producers nearly anywhere.
With the generous support of the Intertribal Agriculture Council and the First Nations Development Institute, we have a pool of scholarships to award to Native American students. Twenty scholarships are for tribal members of any US state and 15 are reserved for tribal members in the states of New Mexico and Arizona specifically. Please go to this link if you want to apply. There are no other scholarships at this time.
Registration will be through Oregon State University Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) website. Registration is now open here: https://workspace.oregonstate.edu/course/western-meat-school
